Hm. My, this is certainly an unprecedented couple. o.O; Not to sound biased or anything, but I don't quite understand the people who try to put Amelia and Gourry together as a couple. It seems that most Zelgadis/Lina fans will support this couple, since it is the only other alternative. However, when you carefully analyze the relationship between Amelia and Gourry, it isn't too hard to see that these two barely acknowledge each other.

Amelia and Gourry are merely acquaintances, meaning that they are barely friends. Why do I say this? Because they've never had an entire conversation/moment in all of Slayers! I can only think of *one* Amelia/Gourry scene (the one during TRY, when they were paired together by Jiras), and it was hardly significant, to boot. All that happened was Gourry told Amelia she was growing tall, and Amelia replied by mentioning that her older sister was almost as tall as Gourry.

So, as you can see, there is no evidence whatsoever that can be used to prove a romantic relationship between Amelia and Gourry! There is absolutely NO proof at all. The entire origin of this absurd coupling is merely an excuse, thought up by Zelgadis/Lina fans. (Or any non-canon supporters, for that matter.) Many times, I have searched for a Gourry/Amelia shrine on the Slayers Web Community -- and many times, I have failed to find one. That is why I can conclude that 99% of Slayers fans do not find this to be a plausible couple at all.

And finally, I will end this essay by asking you all a favor. If anybody who is reading this can give me a decent argument on why this couple would work, please send me an e-mail. If anybody out there knows of an Amelia/Gourry shrine, do send it to me. Try as I might, I seriously cannot find any evidence to support this strange coupling. Until I can develop a solid argument and revise this essay, this is all I can present you with. -.o; Thank you.
